Greece under sail: the Ionian Islands
A week under sail in the Ionian Sea on a comfortable skippered catamaran — sold by the cabin (cabin charter): 4 double cabins, just 8 guests, so no licence or experience is needed. Calm bays, swimming in turquoise water, the islands of Lefkada, Meganisi, Ithaca and Kefalonia, taverna dinners and sunsets from the deck. Your native language, everything organised for you. Embarkation — the marina on Lefkada (Lefkas Marina). Getting there: a flight to Preveza (PVK) or Corfu (CFU) + transfer; details and meeting time provided once the group forms.

Day 1 — embarkation
Boarding at Lefkada marina, meeting the skipper and crew, a safety briefing, provisioning. A short hop to a quiet bay nearby, the first swim and dinner at a taverna.

Day 2 — Meganisi
A passage to Meganisi: the quiet coves of Spartochori and Vathi, the Papanikolis sea cave, swimming and snorkelling in clear water. An evening at anchor under the stars.

Day 3 — Kastos / Kalamos
The quiet, unspoilt islets of Kastos and Kalamos — almost tourist-free. Anchoring in a bay, swimming, dinner at a small family taverna right by the quay.

Day 4 — Ithaca
Odysseus's island: the picturesque harbours of Kioni and Frikes, a walk through the village, swimming in coves along the way. The atmosphere of the real, non-touristy Greece.

Day 5 — Kefalonia (Fiskardo)
Fiskardo — the prettiest Venetian village of the Ionian, spared by the earthquake. Colourful houses above the water, swimming, dinner on the waterfront.

Day 6 — back to Lefkada
A relaxed passage back toward Lefkada with a swim stop in a favourite bay, a farewell crew dinner on deck at sunset. A night at the marina.

Day 7 — disembarkation
Breakfast, disembarkation at Lefkada marina, transfer to Preveza/Corfu airport. Until the next sail!
